After a summer of intimate soiree's in her own venue 'The Milkbar' in Brunswick and shows at Melbourne's iconic jazz venues Bennett's Lane and Paris Cat, Julia Messenger will be traveling the east coast of Australia to showcase her unique take on jazz standards and classics, coupled with her own originals and some skilled multilingual Chanson and Lieder thrown in for good measure!
Julia is thrilled to announce her upcoming Sydney winter shows. She will be touring with some of Sydney's most prestigious musicians at the premier jazz venues Foundry 616 (June 19) and the Vanguard (July 12). Joining her will be Greg Coffin on piano, Sam Rollings on guitar, Karl Dunnicliff on bass and Nic Cecire and Tim Firth on drums.

Julia Messenger: Singer, songwriter, producer
Currently she is working on writing and recording new material @ Milk Bar Studio in Brunswick, Australia.
As a songwriter/singer and producer she has co-written and appeared on albums with legendary musicians of our time such as Klaus Schulze (Tangerine Dream/ Alphaville), Ferry Corsten (#5 DJ in the world today), Kraftwerk and the list goes on.
Termed in the Electronic world as the 'Queen of Chill', she is as much at home singing Jazz as she is at being one of the 'rare strokes of luck in the electronic music scene'.
Julia has also recorded a Live Album at Australia's Premier Jazz Club Bennetts Lane over two sell out nights. She formerly released this album at a further sell out show at Bennetts Lane in November 2011, after her return from a successful European tour.
